AF Protection Limited currently has an ongoing contract with the NHS Properties Trust which involves the surveying, upgrading and maintaining of various aspects of fire protection throughout numerous hospitals in the Cornwall area. Hospitals range in their size and purpose, from Falmouth to Camborne, but all upgrades and maintenance are undertaken to ensure that the fire strategy plan is continually up-to-date and in effect. Usually the works commence whilst the hospital is still live and active which means that there must always be careful consideration for the health and safety of both the operatives on site and the hospital occupants. At least one or more of the various applications of fire protection have been used in all of the hospitals, including cavity barriers and fire door upgrades and maintenance.
